Winchester Model 1894 Saddle ring Carbine serial number 979961 made in 1925. This very nice Saddle Ring 1894 remains in very solid original condition and is much nicer than you usually find them. The receiver is mostly grey with no significant rust or pitting. The barrel and mag tube have most of their original Winchester blue. The carbine stock and fore end are in great original shape with no cracks or repairs and have never been sanded or messed with. The wood to metal fit is superb. There are No extra holes anywhere and there has never been sling studs installed. The bore is very nice with strong rifling and good shine with some light frost in the grooves. We rate the bore an 8 out of 10. All mechanics are smooth and the all the action screws are original and look great. The original front sight is present.
